Owing to
South Africa's outdoor culture, which relies heavily
on barbecues (braais) and the relative cheapness of
meat vegetarianism is less common than in the first
world or Asia. Nevertheless there are a growing number
of outlets in the Fish Hoek area where you can buy vegetarian
food some of it of high quality.

a range of dried soya products while Gold
Dish Soya Mince in tins is inexpensive and tasty
for a quick meal. Woolworths in Fish Hoek Town Square
and Long Beach Mall have their own growing range of
vegetarian cuisine which is slightly more expensive.
